Cross of #27

The baseboards are done. WE actually did not do them...we traded out work. AND this time it was me who has to do the work....a wedding cake for Jake and Becky! Jake and his brother came in and in 2 days they completed ALL of the baseboards, the floor trim around ALL of the doorways and the cabinets, finished the tile in Ella's bathroom, and cleaned and sealed the grout in both bathrooms. YIPPIE! I am so excited. NOW, it is time to get the counter tops from Dave.

Oma's Birthday Baseball Game

On the 7th we all headed down to Phoenix to watch the Diamondbacks play the Padres. Oma is a huge baseball fanatic...borderline obsessive, so this was a perfect birthday gift. Nate got us AWESOME seats...3rd baseline 2nd row. They all got there REALLY early (in time for batting practice) to get Luis Gonzales bobble heads and autographed baseballs. We got there just as they were singing the National Anthem. It was time for some stadium food and drinks. Amazingly, Ella ate a hot dog and bun (she never eats the bun) without a fuss...Ballpark food is good no matter what. First at bat for the Diamondbacks was a home run!!! What a way to start the game. During the 7th inning Tony Gywnn hit a foul ball down the 3rd baseline. The foul ball guy (I am sure he has a real title) gave Ella the ball. Nate was SUPER EXCITED. So was Ella, but I don't think she truly understood the significance of getting a foul ball. Diamondbacks were still in the lead till the 9th inning...I was sad because it looked like they were going to lose! HOMERUN!!! The same guy who hit the opening homerun closed the game with another homerun. DIAMONDBACKS WIN!!!!!!

New Computer

SOOOOOO, I have lots of pictures to post on the blog from last weekend. The only problem is that I can't download them on the new laptop. Our old computer was infected by a virus and we have yet to download all the necessary programs to the laptop. That is on the list of things to do this weekend. Stay tuned for the pictures of Ella and her foul ball from the baseball game and Kevin and my time at the Toby Keith concert.

First Day of School

I am not sure where this summer went. It seems like I blinked and July was gone and it was time to head back to school. To be honest, I was happy to go back. I was getting bored and missed the routine of the school year. I am back in 5th grade, which I am very happy about. This was the first time I did not have nightmares about the first day...slept like a rock last night. Ella started 2nd grade this year and has Mrs. Kennedy. Getting her up in the morning is normally pretty hard. Not this morning, she was up, out of bed, and dressed by 5:15 am. I am hoping she will keep that up.

When I came to school I went my mommy's class room and gave blue berry muffins to miss.Bishop,miss.Morgon and miss.Olsen. Then the bell rang and I set my backpack down and ran with Jasmin to the pull up bars. When we came in or classroom we found our seats. Then we unpacked our things. Then miss.Kennedy passed out some pappers. When we were done we sat at the smartbord and learned our school rules. Then we went to resess. Then we got out our homework folder and put lots and lots of papper in it . Then we went to computers. I pased three levels. When we were done we went to lunch. Then we went to resess and I got chased by boys. We read a story it was called The giving tree. Then we got our backpack and went home.
